The secret to this improvement is a newly engineered design. When setting out to build this, Apple wanted to speed up the capabilities of iPhones while also making them more efficient and prolonging their battery life. To do this, they created a design that contains four cores. The A10 Fusion chip’s CPU is comprised of two high-efficiency cores and two high-performance cores. The high-efficiency cores utilize only one-fifth of the power of high-performance cores. This makes them much more efficient in utilizing battery charge, which produces the improved battery life in iPhone 7 and 7 Plus.
The high-performance cores in the A10 Fusion chip are capable of running at twice the speed of the iPhone 6. The combination of these four cores give iPhone 7 and 7 Plus users the ability to work twice as fast as an iPhone 6 or 6s user and to have more time between charges. The A10 Fusion Chip’s improved design gives iPhone 7 users an additional two hours of battery life and iPhone 7 plus users an additional hour of life. Larger Memory Capacity
While previous generations of iPhones were available in 16GB models, iPhone 7 and 7 Plus begin with a doubled memory storage capacity at 32GB. From there, users can also select larger memory models, such as 128GB and 256GB.
