How do I know that my case is waterproof?
Every single juice pack H2PRO case (100% of them) is checked for leaks at the factory. If a case doesn’t pass this test it doesn’t get shipped. Additionally, prior to using your juice pack H2PRO case for the first time, we recommend that everyone water test the empty case to ensure that it is correctly assembled and waterproof. (Go to www.mophie.com/water-test for detailed water-testing instructions.) If the inside of the case is wet after this test, do not use the case—please contact mophie customer service at 1-888-8mophie, or click here. How can I ensure that my phone will stay dry inside the juice pack H2PRO case? • Perform a water test on your empty juice pack H2PRO case before the first time you insert your phone. (Go to mophie.com/water-test for detailed water-testing instructions.)
• Make sure the juice pack H2PRO case is properly assembled before exposing it to the elements. (Follow the assembly instructions in the quick-start guide.)
• After any major impacts to the case, perform the water test again on the empty case, even if you can’t see any damage to the case. What if my case leaks while in water and my phone is damaged?
mophie warrants its products from defects up to 1 year after purchase. However, mophie is not responsible for any damage that may occur to any devices not made by mophie. For complete details, consult the full warranty statement in the quick-start guide or click here.
We recommended that you water test your juice pack H2PRO case before immersing it with your iPhone. (Go to mophie.com/water-test for detailed water-testing instructions.) We also recommend that you back-up your phone’s data before immersing your phone inside the case for the first time. (Regularly backing-up your phone’s data is a good idea anyway, in case your phone becomes lost or otherwise damaged.)What does “IP68” mean?
The juice pack H2PRO case has been tested and has passed International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) standards against the invasion of dust, foreign objects and water. “IP68” is a rating number that describes the degree of ingress protection (“IP”) the juice pack H2PRO case offers.
The first digit in the rating represents the degree of protection against solid particles. A rating of “6” means that the enclosure is “dust tight” (no ingress of dust). This is highest possible solid particle protection rating.
The second digit in the rating represents the degree of protection against water. A rating of “8” means that the enclosure is rated against water intrusion when immersed beyond 1 m. mophie specifies that the juice pack H2PRO and its contents can be safely immersed in water up to 1.2 m for up to 30 minutes. This is the highest possible water immersion protection rating.Does the juice pack H2PRO case affect the phone’s touchscreen response?
The touchscreen’s response is slightly affected by the waterproof protective cover. We have done extensive testing to ensure that the juice pack H2PRO case provides the best possible combination of touchscreen performance, water ingress protection and protection for the phone against damage.Do Touch ID and SIRI still work when my iPhone is inside the juice pack H2PRO case? You bet! The juice pack H2PRO case was engineered so that all your iPhone 6s / 6 features work when the phone is inside of the case. To get a more accurate read while programming Touch ID, you should program one of the 5 fingerprints with your phone installed inside the juice pack H2PRO case. This will improve the accuracy of the Touch ID response when the phone is inside the case.Does the juice pack H2PRO case affect the sound of phone calls, music, ringtones or audible alerts? To keep the juice pack H2PRO case waterproof, we incorporated a thin waterproof mesh for the speaker and microphone openings. This has a slight effect on the sound, which we’ve kept to a minimum.Does the juice pack H2PRO affect the function of the iPhone camera? Absolutely not. Just keep the juice pack H2PRO case’s lens cover clean the same as you would your iPhone camera’s lens.
Does the juice pack H2PRO case interfere with antenna reception?
No, assuming you use it normally as described in our product materials. How does the extra battery work? When you insert your iPhone into the juice pack H2PRO case, a Lightning connector at the base of the case plugs into the port at the bottom of the phone. Press the standby button on the back of the case (on the right) to start charging your phone. (Your phone’s charging indicator will light.) After using up all the power in the juice pack H2PRO case, use the included micro USB cable to connect it to a computer or to your phone’s charging adapter to recharge the case for more on-the-go power. When I’m powering my phone with the juice pack H2PRO battery, the back of the case becomes warm. Is this normal? It’s normal for the back of the juice pack H2PRO case to feel warm when the phone is actively drawing power from the case. The electronic design of the juice pack H2PRO case is exactly the same as other mophie juice pack cases, and it has the same mophie Digital Power Management circuitry. The Digital Power Management circuitry maximizes battery efficiency, so the juice pack battery generates the least possible amount of heat during operation. What is the best method for charging my iPhone using the juice pack H2PRO case? Assuming that your iPhone and juice pack H2PRO case are both fully charged, we recommend waiting until your iPhone has 20% battery left. When the phone’s battery indicator is in the red, press the juice pack H2PRO case’s standby button to start charging, and let the case to do the heavy lifting. The phone requires more power to charge past 80%, so if you want to get the greatest battery boost from the juice pack H2PRO case, we suggest putting it back into standby mode until your phone’s battery is at or near 20% remaining again. This isn’t the end-all be-all, but we like it.What are the benefits of switching the juice pack H2PRO case to standby mode? Using the standby button will give you the biggest battery boost from your juice pack H2PRO case. The iPhone uses additional power to be on a constant charge, so charging when your phone’s battery is low will let you get the most from your juice pack H2PRO case. What is the best method for charging my juice pack H2PRO case? Connect your juice pack H2PRO case to a power source using the included micro USB cable. You can plug the cable into your computer or any power source with a USB out, like the USB wall adapter included with your iPhone. You do not need to remove your phone from the juice pack H2PRO case to charge. In fact, leaving your phone in the case while charging will actually charge both your phone and the case together! Why aren’t the LEDs blinking while my juice pack H2PRO case is charging? After connecting the juice pack H2PRO case to a power source, the LED status indicators will start blinking to indicate charging. The lights will turn off after 30 seconds allowing for a good night’s rest. Remember to press the status indicator button on the back of the case (on the left) to check the charging status before you disconnect. When all four LEDs are lit, your juice pack H2PRO case is fully charged. How many times can I recharge my juice pack H2PRO case? You can recharge your juice pack H2PRO battery case for over 500 full cycles. A full cycle is when you recharge the case from 0% to 100%. Partial cycles, like charging from 25% to 100%, will not count as a full cycle until all of the partials equal 100%.
For example, if you recharge from 25% to 100% one day (a 75% charge), then a couple of days later you recharge from 50% to 100% (a 50% charge), and a few days after that you recharge from 25% to 100% again (another 75% charge), you will have recharged two full cycles over that period (75% + 50% + 75% = 200%).
After 500 full cycles, the battery in the juice pack H2PRO case may provide less than 75% of its original capacity. This is normal for any product with a lithium polymer battery.
